What You Bring
Kimley‑Horn's Woodstock, Georgia office is seeking a Civil Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) with over two years of experience to join the Roadway team. The role requires a willingness to support various project managers by performing a broad range of civil‑engineering tasks, including design of horizontal and vertical alignments, grading and drainage, streetscape and roadway improvements, multimodal features such as multi‑use trails and complete streets, as well as signage, striping, and signalization plans. As a critical team member, the engineer will receive on‑the‑job and formal training, mentorship, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions. Candidates must have at least two years of experience at a civil‑engineering design firm, a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university, and be able to obtain Engineer‑In‑Training certification within twelve months. Proficiency in MicroStation/InRoads/OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D, strong verbal and written communication, a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are required. This position is based on‑site and not remote. • Hold 2+ years civil engineering design experience. • Possess an ABET‑accredited B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering. • Obtain Engineer‑In‑Training certification within 12 months. • Proficient in MicroStation/InRoads/OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D. • Demonstrate strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
