About the Role
The assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the project team, handling both routine clerical duties and more specialized tasks such as meeting documentation and equipment tracking. By coordinating deliveries, maintaining records, and assisting the superintendent, the role ensures smooth day‑to‑day operations on the construction site. • Perform clerical tasks and operate basic office equipment. • Answer and forward incoming calls, provide general information, and take messages. • File and maintain written records while creating electronic copies. • Receive, sort, and log all deliveries in a computer database. • Prepare daily outbound deliveries and materials for design/construction meetings. • Record and update meeting minutes for site meetings. • Procure consumable materials and office supplies. • Assist Superintendent with equipment inventory tracking and organization. • Enter craft worker timecards for the Superintendent. • Provide general project team support for day‑to‑day tasks. • Schedule, track, and log repairs and maintenance for work trucks. • Provide maps and directions to visitors, subcontractors, deliveries, and new employees. • Log all applicants into the Craft Applicant Tracking Spreadsheet. • Maintain a highly organized work approach. • Participate in a 401(k) plan with Mortenson matching contributions. • Utilize a no‑cost mental‑health tool and concierge services.

The position involves full-time travel (100%) with no rotations and does not offer visa sponsorship. Candidates should have at least an associate degree in business or a related field and a minimum of three years of administrative experience, preferably in a large‑team environment. Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, proficiency with standard office equipment, excellent written and verbal communication, and highly organized work habits are essential. • Hold an associate’s degree in business or related field (preferred). • Possess at least three years of administrative experience supporting large teams. • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Email, Calendar, and PowerPoint. • Exhibit strong knowledge of basic office equipment. • Communicate effectively in written and verbal forms.
