About the Role

The company is seeking a Director of Financial Reporting to lead its Financial Reporting team. This senior finance leader will oversee consolidation of numerous entities, ensure accurate quarterly and SEC filings, maintain global accounting policies, adopt new standards, and drive ESG reporting compliance, while also supporting mergers and acquisitions and special projects. The role includes responsibility for guiding sustainability reporting, providing expert US GAAP support, and fostering continuous improvement across accounting, analysis, and reporting functions. The director will mentor staff, coordinate with internal and external partners, and present findings to executive leadership. • Oversee the monthly consolidation of over 25 operating and non‑operating entities • Direct timely and accurate financial reporting each quarter‑end • Lead the finance function for sustainability reporting • Provide expertise on complex US GAAP matters such as revenue recognition, leases, employee benefits, stock‑based compensation, acquisition accounting, impairment testing, and cash‑flow statements • Prepare and review technical accounting white‑paper position papers • Oversee quarterly financial statement analysis • Lead all aspects of Masco’s accounting policies • Ensure compliance with ESG reporting regulations • Facilitate and lead significant meetings with executives across Masco and its business units • Set department objectives and mentor direct reports and team members • Identify and lead continuous‑improvement activities related to accounting, analysis, reporting, and service • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, tax, FP&A, legal, environmental, health and safety, and business development teams • Provide ad‑hoc analysis and reporting

What You Bring

Ideal candidates bring more than 13 years of progressive finance leadership, a CPA license, a relevant degree, and deep knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations, along with strong communication, project‑management, and continuous‑improvement skills. • 13+ years of progressive financial leadership experience with financial reporting background • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a concentration in accounting • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential • Proficiency in US GAAP and SEC regulations • Demonstrated professional excellence, sound judgment, initiative, ethics, and ability to lead and develop others • Strong business intuition and ability to navigate complexity, solve problems, anticipate customer needs, and devise strategies • Excellent prioritization and project‑management skills with ability to work independently and drive results • Proven continuous‑improvement mindset and experience identifying opportunities and solutions • Track record of mentoring and coaching team members to achieve optimal performance • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative, inclusive, and able to maintain confidentiality • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with Workiva, ProLease, and SmartView highly desired • Ability to travel occasionally
