About the Role
The Training Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining a comprehensive training strategy that supports safe operations, operational excellence, workforce capability, and leadership effectiveness at the Lafayette Extrusions operation. This role leads training efforts for hourly union employees, salaried leaders, and manufacturing support functions, ensuring compliance with corporate requirements while aligning programs to site‑specific operational and safety needs. The Training Lead serves as the site subject‑matter expert for job‑specific skill development, employee health and safety training, leadership development, and training compliance tracking. This role partners closely with Operations, EHS, Human Resources, and Union leadership to ensure training programs are effective, timely, and impactful. • Design, implement, and sustain a comprehensive training strategy for safe operations, operational excellence, workforce capability, and leadership effectiveness. • Lead training programs for hourly union employees, salaried leaders, and manufacturing support functions while ensuring corporate compliance. • Serve as site subject‑matter expert for job‑specific skill development, health and safety training, leadership development, and compliance tracking. • Partner with Operations, EHS, Human Resources, and Union leadership to deliver effective and timely training. • Align training initiatives with site‑specific operational and safety needs. • Ensure training programs meet export control requirements under EAR and ITAR, if applicable.
