About the Role

We are seeking Wastewater Network Modellers (Assistant to Principal) to deliver projects for the UK’s largest regulated water companies, collaborating with other WSP business units and developing technical expertise to enhance both quality and service efficiency. In this role you will support hydraulic modelling studies for core water clients using industry‑standard software such as InfoWorks ICM/CS, TUFLOW, FRM and other tools, working within the team to refine existing models and build new ones that assess asset performance. • Provide technical input on urban drainage projects and support the wastewater team in delivering current and future projects. • Support development of feasibility studies and optioneering. • Use network models to evaluate and optimise asset performance. • Prepare reports and supporting drawings. • Define work required by field investigation teams. • Develop and maintain client relationships at all levels, coordinating project meetings. • Contribute to team learning through knowledge‑sharing exercises. • Promote the WSP brand at industry forums and conferences.

What You Bring

We look for candidates with a relevant degree, chartered (or chartership‑bound) membership of a professional institution, solid experience in urban drainage modelling, extensive use of hydraulic modelling software (especially InfoWorks ICM), and familiarity with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS or MapInfo. • Degree in engineering, environmental science, geography or a related discipline. • Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., ICE, CIWEM) or working towards chartership. • Strong knowledge and experience in urban drainage modelling, able to review technical outputs of others. • Extensive experience with hydraulic modelling software, particularly InfoWorks ICM or similar. • Familiarity with GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS or MapInfo.
