About the Role
Opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join our Life Science Team. The Senior Engineer manages the engineering function as the senior representative, co‑ordinates with the line manager and provides engineering leadership for their respective projects, setting strategy for onsite control and overseeing QA, record keeping, and production to maintain Sisk Quality procedures. The role also includes responsibility for temporary works control and, when required, active management of lifting operations. The Senior Engineer will lead the engineering project team, ensure quality control across key packages, manage non‑conformances, develop method statements and risk assessments, coordinate design teams, control site meetings and maintain client interfaces. • Lead and manage the engineering project team. • Analyse tolerances and interfaces to identify potential issues. • Develop and review Inspection & Test Plans for packages such as concrete, drainage, steelwork, flooring, facades, and cleanrooms. • Ensure compliance with project specifications and structural tolerances. • Create, manage, and close Non‑Conformance Reports, understanding defect costs. • Review and produce method statements and risk assessments. • Identify missing information and manage RFI processes and technical submittals. • Oversee lifting operations and act as appointed person when required. • Coordinate temporary works (TWC/TWS trained) and control site meetings. • Engage with clients and coordinate design teams. • Recognise hazards of underground services and apply risk control procedures.

What You Bring
The role requires strong knowledge of underground services risks, excellent verbal and written communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital information systems such as A‑Site, Dalux and Viewpoint, extensive design management experience in pharmaceutical, CSA and MEP projects, and relevant engineering qualifications and training. • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital platforms (A‑Site, Dalux, Viewpoint). • Significant design management experience, especially in pharmaceutical, CSA, and MEP projects. • Engineering degree in Civil Engineering. • Temporary Works Coordinator training. • Lifting Operations awareness / Operations Appointed Person / CPCS A61 certification. • Scaffold inspection awareness. • Planning and programming software competence. • SMSTS/SSSTS (UK) and MSIC (Ireland) certifications.
