About the Role

The Vice President of Digital Strategy and Business Operations leads the Digital and Innovation Office (DIO), reporting to the Digital COO. This pivotal role defines the strategic direction, translates vision into actionable enterprise imperatives, and ensures agile execution across a hub‑and‑spoke model. Key responsibilities include developing the DIO strategy and operational plan, communicating executive narratives, managing resource allocation, and continuously refining the operating model for speed and cross‑functional alignment. The VP also establishes a Strategy & Operations Center of Excellence, partners with change management, advances analytics from descriptive to predictive, and leads KPI delivery and performance deep‑dives. • Develop DIO strategy and translate it into a clear operational plan. • Create executive‑level strategic narratives and health updates. • Manage resource and capital allocation for strategic priorities. • Design and continuously refine the DIO operating model for faster decision‑making. • Establish a Strategy & Operations Center of Excellence for project management and data governance standards. • Partner with Change Management to ensure successful deployment and adoption of initiatives. • Resolve cross‑functional friction and serve as escalation point for inter‑team dependencies. • Advance reporting from descriptive to predictive analytics to anticipate bottlenecks and risks. • Lead KPI delivery to align metrics with enterprise value and strategic goals. • Conduct operational deep‑dives to diagnose performance issues and drive turnarounds. • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high‑performing Strategy & Operations team.

What You Bring

The role requires 12–15+ years of professional experience, including at least five years in senior leadership, a strong background in top‑tier strategy consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) and in‑house operational leadership, and proven success in large‑scale digital transformations across global, matrixed environments. An MBA from a top‑tier institution or equivalent executive experience is expected, along with strategic intuition, advanced diplomacy, operational gravitas, and system‑architecture expertise. • 12–15+ years of experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles. • Background in top‑tier strategy or management consulting and in‑house operational leadership. • Proven track record of managing large‑scale digital transformations in global, matrixed settings. • MBA from a top‑tier institution or equivalent executive leadership experience. • Strategic intuition to anticipate macroeconomic impacts on the business. • Advanced diplomacy to navigate complex internal politics and build C‑suite consensus. • Operational gravitas for delivering results in high‑pressure environments. • Mastery of technology stack integration (ERP, CRM, BI, AI) to drive efficiency.

Compensation includes a target base salary of CAD 243,000–365,000, with eligibility for bonus and equity.
