Expert Sport Architect

About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of major sports stadiums and associated projects in Saudi Arabia. Mace is currently delivering a programme that requires high‑caliber, experienced professionals to lead teams throughout each phase of the project. The successful candidate will design and develop football‑specific facilities, collaborate with clients and stakeholders to align designs with user and community needs, and ensure compliance with international codes, standards and FIFA regulations. They will oversee construction, coordinate with engineers and contractors, lead multidisciplinary design reviews, apply current methodologies within EPMO frameworks, and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. • Design football-specific stadiums, training centers and multi‑sport grounds. • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and professionals to align designs with user and community needs. • Ensure compliance with international codes, standards and FIFA regulations. • Conduct research to integrate best practices and regulatory requirements into facility design. • Oversee construction to keep it aligned with design, schedule and budget. • Coordinate with engineers and contractors for smooth project execution. • Lead multidisciplinary design reviews and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. • Apply current methodologies and tools within EPMO frameworks for effective design review. • Validate data, produce reports and analyses with strong attention to detail. • Motivate and lead design teams, fostering collaboration, creativity and innovation.

Obtaining a visa for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is subject to a criminal‑record check, qualifications and may be subject to age restrictions. • Hold an architecture degree with extensive experience in sports‑related projects. • Proficient in CAD/BIM and knowledgeable of industry codes, LEED and sustainability principles. • Proven track record as a sports architect delivering FIFA‑compliant stadiums. • Experienced in advanced design management and coordinating architectural, engineering and specialist disciplines. • Skilled at identifying design challenges, implementing mitigation strategies and driving value engineering. • Strong ability to engage with design consultants, project managers and procurement teams.
