GIS Technician (Field Based)

About the Role
In this position you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of geospatial professionals to deliver high‑quality GIS data, analysis, and mapping that exceed client expectations. You will manage project data, create custom maps for utility clients, and maintain web‑based map services and field data collection systems. • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver GIS and data solutions meeting client needs. • Organize and maintain project data, analyses, and maps following company protocols and industry best practices. • Prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment. • Author and edit geoprocessing scripts and tools using Python and ModelBuilder. • Generate custom maps and analyses for large utility clients. • Publish and maintain ArcGIS web‑based map services and applications. • Develop and deploy field GPS and data‑collection systems, including Trimble GPS and Esri mobile apps. • Explore new GIS technologies and improve existing methods, tools, and workflows.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, natural sciences or a comparable field and have at least one year of GIS experience. Proficiency with Esri’s ArcGIS Pro suite, ArcGIS Online, and the ability to develop Python and ModelBuilder scripts are required, along with strong written and verbal communication and a keen eye for visual presentation. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, natural sciences or a related field. • Possess at least one year of GIS experience and proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication, attention to detail, and visual presentation skills. • Experience with web app environments (Dashboards, Experience Builder, StoryMaps) and advanced data management of complex geospatial projects is preferred.

Benefits
The position offers an annual base salary between $63,103 and $79,119 (approximately $30.33–$38.03 per hour) on a limited‑term, non‑exempt basis. Employees may be eligible for bonus pay and receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and life and disability insurance, depending on employment classification and weekly hours.
