About the Role
Core responsibilities include analyzing legacy data sources, assessing data quality, and defining mapping and transformation for Salesforce objects. The specialist will design, develop, and execute migration strategies using DBAmp for SQL Server–Salesforce integration, automate recurring data loads, generate reports, and manage file transfers via batch scripts, FTP/SFTP, and Windows Task Scheduler. They will also build and maintain ETL workflows in Talend or Informatica, collaborate with Salesforce administrators, developers, and business stakeholders, conduct migration testing, troubleshoot issues, and document processes and data models. • Analyze legacy data sources, assess quality, and define mapping/transformation for Salesforce objects • Design and execute migration strategies using DBAmp for SQL Server–Salesforce integration • Automate recurring data loads, reporting, and file transfers with batch scripts, FTP/SFTP, and Windows Task Scheduler • Build and maintain ETL workflows in Talend or Informatica • Collaborate with Salesforce admins, developers, and business stakeholders to align migrations with project goals • Conduct migration testing, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance • Document migration processes, data models, and transformation logic

Johnson Controls is seeking a talented and motivated Salesforce Data Migration Specialist to join its growing team. The specialist will be responsible for end‑to‑end migration of data from legacy systems into Salesforce using Salesforce tools and ETL expertise. This role will design, manage, and execute data migration processes between Salesforce, legacy applications, databases, and unstructured data sources, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, de‑duplication, and full compatibility with the Salesforce environment. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, data engineering, or a related field, and 3‑5 years of experience with Salesforce DBAmp, Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, or Workbench. Candidates must be proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, T‑SQL, Perl, batch scripting, and FTP/SFTP automation, and have experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud or Service Cloud. Strong communication skills, the ability to work in a global collaborative environment, and flexibility to acquire new data integration skills are essential. Relevant certifications such as Salesforce Administrator, SQL Server, or AWS/Azure are a plus, as are hands‑on abilities with Talend or Informatica and cloud storage integrations. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Data Engineering or related field and 3‑5 years of Salesforce data migration experience • Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, T‑SQL, Perl, and batch scripting • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud or Service Cloud and knowledge of Salesforce APIs and best practices • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global, collaborative environment • Relevant certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, SQL Server, AWS/Azure) and familiarity with Talend/Informatica and cloud storage integrations are preferred
