About the Role
The Structural Welder is responsible for creating frames for large structures. The role requires setting up equipment and welding pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas‑shielded arc, or gas welding equipment. Welders must produce quality work efficiently, obtain any required certifications, and understand safety hazards related to the job. Work can be performed in a plant operations environment or on a construction jobsite. Daily tasks include preparing structural metal components, executing precise welds, and performing basic piping installations and repairs. The welder collaborates with other mechanics and craft workers, providing assistance whenever needed. All work must comply with industry safety standards and be completed with reasonable efficiency. • Cut, drill, and position structural metal pieces for welding. • Verify that welds comply with safety and industry standards. • Carry out basic piping installations and repairs. • Provide assistance to other mechanics and craft workers as required. • Handle and lift loads up to 50 lb (occasionally up to 100 lb) while operating hand and power tools. • Climb ladders, scaffolds, and maintain balance on steel or wood frameworks on uneven or muddy surfaces. • Work in confined spaces and under adverse weather conditions (heat, cold, rain). • Exercise decision‑making, attention to detail, and concentration in distracting environments.

What You Bring
