About the Role
Cleaners maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in Sainsbury’s stores, completing daily tasks such as operating machinery, mopping, vacuuming, wiping, sweeping, and cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, oven canopies, and outdoor trolley bays. All health and safety procedures are applied and full training is provided. • Perform daily cleaning tasks including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, sweeping, and operating cleaning machinery. • Clean indoor areas such as toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, oven canopies, and outdoor trolley bays. • Follow health and safety procedures at all times. • Provide a smartphone with NFC for the Arcus Connect attendance app.

What You Bring
Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential as on‑the‑job training is supplied. Candidates need an eye for detail, a positive attitude to cleaning and customer service, and must provide a smartphone with NFC capability for the Arcus Connect app, which is a condition of employment.

Sainsbury’s stores operate seven days a week and Arcus offers flexible shift patterns, including 5‑day and 6‑day weeks with early‑morning, morning, afternoon and evening shifts, plus weekend work. The current schedule is Sunday 05:00‑13:00, Monday 05:00‑09:00, Tuesday day off, Wednesday 05:00‑09:00, Thursday 05:00‑09:00, Friday day off, Saturday 05:00‑10:00, with overtime opportunities to increase hours.
