About the Role

• Manage client invoicing, collections, and project budgeting independently. • Provide backup support for accounts payable, timesheets, and expense reports. • Maintain accurate contract documentation, fee and budget entries. • Supply timely contract performance data and resolve financial issues with project personnel. • Coordinate the project accounting system and ensure compliance with contractual requirements. • Assist multiple project managers and staff daily. • Mentor junior project accountants as needed.

Ideal candidates are self‑motivated, detail‑oriented professionals who thrive in collaborative, fast‑moving environments and are committed to HDR’s employee‑owned culture. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred). • Experience supervising financial professionals (preferred). • Deep understanding of prime contract requirements and ability to fulfill obligations (preferred). • Experience drafting subcontracts and tracking deliverables (preferred). • Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience (required). • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience; advanced degree may offset (required). • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (required). • Excellent verbal and written communication, including proofreading and telephone etiquette (required). • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and collaborate in a fast‑paced environment (required). • Self‑motivated, well‑organized, and detail‑oriented (required). • Ability to handle confidential information (required). • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Word and Outlook (required).
