About the Role

Building Engineering Services aims to power progress by designing critical infrastructure for the digital age, from high‑performance data centers to dynamic commercial spaces. The team blends mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineering to deliver sustainable, innovative built environments. The Assistant Project Manager role in the Charlotte or Raleigh office will lead design teams on facility projects from planning through construction, manage client relationships, coordinate sub‑consultants, and ensure delivery on schedule and budget. The position also involves business development, team development, and occasional regional or national travel. • Conduct contract preparation, negotiation, budgeting, invoicing, and quality control. • Lead external marketing and planning efforts, including regional/national travel as needed.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. • Minimum 5 years of related experience. • Professional Engineer (PE) or P.Eng license for the position’s location. • Project management experience. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; MS Project required, Access a plus. • Strong leadership, planning, and teamwork skills. • Ability to develop client presentations, memoranda, and reports. • Experience recruiting, mentoring, and training staff to build technical expertise.
