About the Role

The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The driver ensures the vehicle meets the company's safety standards before each shift, adheres to all company, state, and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects promptly. Key duties include performing thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of tires, fluids, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, and reporting any safety issues. Drivers follow route sheets and maps, operate manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of refuse at designated facilities, and interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers. They identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers, clean accidental spills according to safety policies, monitor vehicle condition to minimize downtime, and complete required route, productivity, and VCR reports while meeting productivity standards and participating in the ReSOP safety program.
