About the Role

In this role, the Maintenance Assistant ensures the community’s facilities are safe, clean, and functional by performing maintenance, assisting with apartment turnover, supporting events, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to safety standards. • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff. • Prepare apartments for new residents by cleaning, painting, and completing minor repairs. • Store and organize maintenance supplies and equipment. • Inspect community areas and grounds to ensure safety and upkeep. • Assist with setup of community activities and events. • Collaborate with the maintenance team on larger projects and improvements. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory. • Follow all safety protocols and procedures. • Support preventive maintenance programs to reduce future issues.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, possess at least one year of hands‑on maintenance experience, and demonstrate strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational abilities, together with the physical capacity to handle the job’s demands. • Hold a high school diploma or GED with at least one year of hands‑on maintenance experience. • Demonstrate knowledge of basic maintenance, housekeeping practices, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Exhibit strong problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Manage time effectively, stay organized, and work safely using proper body mechanics. • Physically capable of standing, walking, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lb; flexible to work various shifts and handle emergencies.
