About the Role

The Product Owner will evolve and communicate the product vision and strategy, monitor financial metrics, and partner with marketing, sales, UX/UI, and development to gather market research and user feedback. You will collaborate with stakeholders to create clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation, while leading workshops and focus groups. Prioritizing and managing the product backlog ensures alignment with revenue goals and business objectives, and you will participate in product launches to convey features and benefits. • Evolve and communicate the product vision, value, strategy, and roadmap in collaboration with KHTS team. • Monitor product financials and metrics against goals and budget. • Partner closely with marketing, sales, UX/UI and development to identify market research, user feedback, and business needs; provide support and timely communication to stakeholders for successful go‑to‑market strategies and customer adoption of new software features and solutions. • Collaborate with stakeholders to collect requirements and create clear user stories and acceptance criteria; prepare process flows and documentation; lead workshops, interviews, and focus groups to identify and understand stakeholder needs. • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with revenue goals, business objectives and stakeholder needs. • Participate in product launches including demonstrations and presentations to effectively communicate the features, benefits, and value proposition of our solutions.

What You Bring

Kimley‑Horn is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Product Owner to join the Technology Solutions team. In this role, you will bridge business, sales, marketing, development, and practice stakeholders to ensure business needs are translated into actionable requirements. You will own the product vision, roadmap, backlog, and delivery of value to end‑users, driving the growth of Kimley‑Horn’s software business. This position is based in‑office. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least five years of experience as a product owner or business analyst, preferably with modern SaaS solutions and Agile teams. Required skills include strong time‑management, effective communication, emotional intelligence, and the ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non‑technical audiences. Experience leading and mentoring teams, as well as building strong client and partner relationships, is also essential. Preferred experience includes the solar or renewable energy industry, CAD tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, geospatial data, business analysis, and relevant certifications such as CSPO, CBAP, Lean, or Six Sigma.
