About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering transportation design, plans, specifications, and estimates, while driving quality management procedures and ensuring safety compliance. You will mentor and lead junior staff and engineers on roadway and highway projects, and strive to achieve maximum INDOT performance scores for scope, schedule, budget, and quality. Additionally, you will develop staffing plans, support business development efforts, lead recruiting initiatives, coordinate training, and forecast workforce needs. • Deliver transportation design, plans, specifications, and cost estimates. • Drive quality management procedures and enforce safety protocols. • Mentor and lead junior staff and engineers on roadway and highway projects. • Achieve maximum INDOT performance scores for scope, schedule, budget, and quality. • Develop staffing plans and identify hiring needs for projects and pursuits. • Support business development with technical expertise and business acumen. • Lead recruiting efforts, identify strategic candidates, and coordinate training. • Create career development plans and forecast workforce peaks and valleys. • Maintain thorough knowledge of industry practices, regulations, and engineering software.

What You Bring
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and at least 10 years of relevant experience; Professional Engineer registration may be required. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices, regulations, and engineering software. A security clearance is not required. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. • Possess 10+ years of relevant experience; PE registration may be required. • Demonstrate strong leadership, written and oral communication skills.
