About the Role

The primary purpose of the position is to perform advanced technical and engineering problem‑solving to support nuclear plant operations, make technical decisions, and apply extensive knowledge of industry codes and regulations. Key duties include providing technical expertise for engineering analysis and programs, identifying and resolving equipment and system issues, and managing engineering tasks from inception to completion while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper configuration management. Engineers are expected to conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses, recommend equipment or techniques to improve performance and reduce costs, and support emergency response, departmental coverage, call‑outs, and outage activities as required. • Provide in-depth technical expertise for engineering analysis, activities, and programs. • Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct consultation. • Manage engineering issues end‑to‑end, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely deliverables. • Perform engineering tasks applying principles while maintaining configuration management. • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses for technical projects. • Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, and ensure code compliance. • Respond to emergencies, provide departmental coverage, and support outage activities as needed. • Meet access and medical requirements appropriate to the position.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications require a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) and compliance with access and medical requirements. Mid‑level candidates need at least two years of nuclear or related engineering experience, while senior candidates need five years. Preferred qualifications include experience with structural design and load analysis, foundation design, and participation in large‑scale capital improvement and modification projects. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear). • Mid‑level: at least 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience. • Senior: at least 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience. • Preferred: experience in structural design, load analysis, foundation design, and large‑scale capital projects.
