About the Role
Parsons is seeking an AWS Cloud Administrator who will bridge development and operations teams. The incumbent will manage and maintain AWS cloud‑native services—including compute, container, storage, and networking—that support DCSA applications. Collaboration with partners, data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders ensures data‑driven strategies align with organizational goals, with remote work and occasional on‑site meetings in Columbia, MD. Key duties include integrating tools to streamline workflows, configuring infrastructure as code with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation, and monitoring the health, performance, and scalability of AWS‑based applications. The administrator will support existing cloud environments, deploy new ones with minimal supervision, perform regular maintenance, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. • Integrate tools and technologies to streamline workflows. • Configure and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. • Monitor and maintain health, performance, and scalability of AWS applications. • Support and deploy cloud environments with minimal supervision. • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot issues in cloud environments.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold an active Top Secret clearance, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and 4‑6+ years of AWS Cloud Administrator experience. Required certifications include AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer or AWS DevOps Engineer, and Security+. Proficiency with AWS services (VPC, EC2, EKS/ECS, IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail) and IaC/DevSecOps tools is essential. Desired expertise includes monitoring solutions such as Prometheus or Splunk, security best practices for DevOps, and familiarity with Agile methodologies. • Hold an active Top Secret security clearance. • Possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. • Have 4‑6+ years of experience as an AWS Cloud Administrator. • Hold AWS Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer certification and Security+. • Experience with AWS services: VPC, EC2, EKS/ECS, IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail. • Proficient with IaC and DevSecOps tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Artifactory, GitLab, CloudFormation. • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills. • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk). • Knowledge of security best practices for DevOps and Agile development methodologies.
