About the Role
The Facility Maintenance Technician (Plumber) will join the P3 Building Technologies & Solutions team at Cortellucci Vaughn Hospital, where the role involves maintaining building systems, equipment, and the physical facility. This position requires a focus on ensuring uninterrupted client operations, asset integrity, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. • Encouraging, collaborative team environment with a Zero Harm safety policy. • Perform predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and systems. • Follow established processes and response guidelines while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and fire protection standards. • Conduct regular inspections and monitoring to meet uptime objectives and maintain asset integrity. • Record observations, deficiencies, and improvement suggestions for equipment and systems. • Respond promptly to service requests and document work in the CMMS. • Coordinate with subcontractors for repairs, maintenance, and calibration; recommend spare parts and supplies. • Maintain accurate equipment logbooks, maintenance records, and tools, adhering to corporate and legislative policies. • Assist in implementing a preventative maintenance program and support facility‑related projects.

What You Bring
Applicants must meet licensing, experience, and safety requirements, and the hiring process includes background checks, vaccination proof, and the possibility of AI‑assisted candidate evaluation. The company also offers reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities throughout the recruitment and selection stages. • Extensive product knowledge and on‑the‑job/cross‑training opportunities supported by internal resources. • Hold a valid plumber license/certification and a Ontario G driver’s license. • Ability to work flexible shifts, on‑call, standby, and handle emergency call‑outs, including evenings and weekends. • Willingness to wear PPE, lift/carry 50 lb, use hand tools, and work on ladders or step stools for extended periods. • Fully vaccinated with proof and able to pass extensive security/background checks. • Minimum 4 years of experience operating plumbing service equipment such as snakes, jetters, pumps, and cameras. • Preferably over 5 years of facility maintenance experience in hospital, university, food, manufacturing, or similar settings. • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with ability to read blueprints and schematics. • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; familiarity with Building Automation Systems (Metasys) is an asset. • Positive, professional disposition, strong client‑service orientation, and ability to work effectively in dynamic team environments. • Working at heights and WHMIS training required; backflow certification preferred.
