About the Role
• Develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs with in‑depth technical expertise. • Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct technical consultation. • Manage engineering issues from initial assessment through complete task execution. • Ensure work accuracy, completeness, timeliness, proper configuration management, and compliance with design criteria, standards, and codes. • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses for regulatory and technical projects. • Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, simplify construction, or address design/material flaws. • Perform emergency response, departmental coverage, call‑outs, and support outage activities outside the department as needed.

What You Bring
In this role you will perform advanced technical and engineering problem solving to support nuclear plant operations, make critical technical decisions, and apply deep knowledge of industry codes and regulations. • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s in a technical field with 6 years nuclear experience, or Associate’s with 8 years, or high school/GED with 9 years (6 at exempt level); working knowledge of engineering processes; meet access and medical requirements. • Preferred qualifications: Experience with field testing such as protective relaying, transformer testing, circuit/trip testing, high‑potential and insulation resistance testing. • Proficiency with testing equipment like Doble, Manta, Megger, Omicron simulators, AC/DC high‑potential units, Tan Delta, DC resistance testers, panel meter calibrators, and CT analyzers. • Experience performing routine and preventative maintenance on protective relays, generator voltage regulators, distributed control systems, sequence‑of‑events recorders, and security systems.

The Senior Engineering Analyst position is based at our Byron Clean Energy facility in Byron, IL, with an expected salary range of $129,600 to $144,000 depending on experience.
