About the Role

The role provides project management, direction, and leadership within the Reliability Assurance team for the development, implementation, and monitoring of mandatory NERC Reliability Standards, TSA cyber‑security directives, and physical and cyber‑security programs under FERC’s Division of Dam Safety. It involves direct engagement with internal personnel, industry stakeholders, regional entities, TSA, and NERC. Key responsibilities include monitoring and assessing compliance risks, conducting assessments, reviews, and investigations, and identifying gaps to recommend corrective actions. You will drive continuous‑improvement efforts, lead strategic compliance initiatives, and collaborate with legal, risk, and operations teams. Acting as a liaison with regulators and external auditors, you will advise and train internal stakeholders, provide guidance to business units and senior leadership, and oversee compliance reporting and documentation. Additionally, you will develop metrics, stay current with regulatory changes, and update policies and procedures accordingly. • Lead Reliability Assurance program monitoring and continuous‑improvement initiatives for NERC, TSA, and FERC requirements. • Conduct compliance risk assessments, investigations, and gap analyses; recommend corrective actions. • Collaborate with legal, risk, operations, and external regulators; serve as liaison with auditors. • Design and deliver compliance training, awareness programs, and stakeholder guidance. • Manage compliance reporting, documentation, and metric development for senior leadership and regulators. • Stay abreast of regulatory changes; update policies and procedures accordingly. • Provide risk and internal‑control framework expertise and causal analysis capabilities.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, cybersecurity, computer science, or law (or equivalent experience), and at least 10 years of regulatory, auditing, or compliance experience with increasing responsibility, including six years in the utility industry. Candidates must have a deep understanding of NERC standards, proven project‑management ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives, experience with risk and internal‑control frameworks, and demonstrated expertise in causal analysis methods. • Apply 10+ years of regulatory, auditing or compliance experience (including 6 years in utilities) and deep knowledge of NERC standards. • Demonstrate project‑management expertise to lead cross‑functional initiatives and meet deadlines.

The anticipated base salary ranges from $109,500 to $155,000 per year, complemented by an annual incentive program.
