About the Role

The Operator’s primary role is to run robotic welding equipment, including seam welders and tangent benders, following established SOPs and VOPs to deliver high‑quality products to customers. The position requires the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings across all tank models while maintaining efficient and prompt service. Operators also handle material‑moving tools such as pallet jacks and overhead hoists, and are responsible for using precision measurement devices like verniers and micrometers. Ongoing safety training, including LOTO and electrical safety, is mandatory, and any injuries or unsafe conditions must be reported to a supervisor. Work is performed in the Bottom Weld, Tangent Bender, and Cover Weld zones, where the operator manages the welding robot work cell. Duties include starting, changing over, and shutting down robot welding and bender cycles, as well as updating tank size settings on the HMI touchscreen when required. Certification for internal forklift operation and hoist/crane handling is obtained on the job, and routine visual inspections of the welder torch and wire feeder are conducted. • Operate robotic welders, seam welders, and tangent bender per SOP/VOP. • Interpret blueprints and drawings for all tank models. • Use material‑handling equipment (pallet jacks, overhead hoist) and precision tools (verniers, micrometers). • Report injuries and unsafe conditions to the supervisor. • Start‑up, change‑over, and shut‑down robot welding and tangent bender cycles. • Adjust tank size settings on the HMI touchscreen panel. • Perform visual inspections of welder torch and wire feeder.
