About the Role

The role involves supporting various geotechnical activities, including assisting with lab testing, drafting boring logs and location diagrams, and scheduling drill rigs for projects. You will also obtain utility clearances, aid the subsurface exploration program, prepare drilling instructions, perform boring and test pit layouts using conventional surveying and GPS, classify soil samples, conduct hand auger sampling, and observe foundation or ground improvement installations. • Assist with lab testing • Draft boring logs and location diagrams • Schedule drill rigs for geotechnical projects • Obtain utility clearance for subsurface explorations • Support subsurface exploration program and prepare drilling instructions • Perform boring and test pit layouts using conventional surveying and GPS • Classify soil samples • Conduct hand auger sampling for subsurface information • Observe foundation or ground improvement installations • Provide reliable transportation for job sites (mileage reimbursed)

What You Bring

We are seeking candidates who are actively pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field, and who have a strong interest in how structures are supported combined with creative thinking. Applicants must have reliable transportation for site visits, with mileage reimbursed, and be capable of repeatedly carrying 40–70 lb and occasionally lifting up to 85 lb to waist height. • Pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or related field • Capable of carrying 40–70 lb repeatedly and lifting up to 85 lb to waist height
