About the Role
As a Senior IT Internal Auditor, you’ll be a key player in strengthening ATCO’s technology and cybersecurity landscape. Every day brings new challenges as you dive into complex systems, uncover insights, and help shape a more secure, efficient, and resilient organization. In this role, you will lead end‑to‑end IT and cybersecurity audits—from planning and risk assessment to fieldwork, reporting, and presenting results to senior leaders. Your expertise will help ensure our technology environment aligns with best practice frameworks, regulatory requirements, and ATCO’s commitment to operational excellence. • Support investigations and advisory engagements that directly influence business decisions. • Drive continuous improvement through developing methodologies, refining processes, and contributing to department training materials. • Mentor and coach junior team members, elevating the overall capability of the audit function. • Plan and execute IT and cybersecurity audits and advisory engagements to evaluate controls, ensure compliance, improve efficiency, and reduce risks. • Lead all phases of IT audit or advisory engagements, from risk assessment and fieldwork to reporting and file closeout. • Communicate with auditee management at all levels and present audit results to senior leadership. • Conduct follow‑up testing and report on management action plans to support continuous improvement. • Participate in investigations as directed by the Chief Audit Executive or designate. • Assist in developing department policies and procedures. • Promote continuous improvement through peer review, training material development, and lessons‑learned activities. • Coach and mentor less experienced team members on audit methodology, procedures, and tests.

What You Bring
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field. • 7+ years of IT internal audit experience in public practice or industry. • Expert knowledge of IIA Global Internal Audit Standards and frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, and ISO 27001. • Relevant certifications (CISA, CIA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, PMP). • Clearly articulate problems and findings to senior management and facilitate resolution. • Strong analytical skills to assess short‑ and long‑term impacts of actions and strategies. • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop relationships across internal and external parties. • Self‑starter capable of leading or contributing as a team member while building capabilities. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings and facilitating resolution. • Results‑oriented and deadline driven.
