About the Role

In this role you will work in a Home Depot store as a sales specialist focused on professional painting contractors. You will meet and build relationships with local pros who rely on Behr for quality products and service, even when they visit the store for reasons other than paint. When a contractor comes in, you will guide them to the right products, mix paint, provide any required tools, and ensure a quick, efficient checkout so they can return to work. You will support the Home Depot Pro Desk by introducing yourself to contractors, learning about their businesses, and following up on their jobs and future needs. Collaboration is essential; you will work closely with Behr’s outside sales reps and Home Depot staff, pull and tint orders for pick‑up, and occasionally lift items up to 75 lb while maintaining a professional vendor relationship. Behr participates in E‑Verify to confirm employment eligibility for new hires. • Build and maintain relationships with professional painting contractors. • Assist contractors with product selection, paint mixing, and tool provision. • Pull and tint paint orders for pick‑up, handling lifts up to 75 lb. • Collaborate with Behr outside sales reps and Home Depot staff. • Enter leads and contacts into Salesforce CRM. • Work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings. • Participate in a 401(k) plan with a 4 % match and profit‑sharing.

What You Bring

To succeed as a Pro Sales Associate you need to be approachable, organized, and genuinely interested in helping customers. Basic computer skills are required to use our customer‑management software, and an outgoing personality with a positive attitude helps you start conversations with strangers. You should be a self‑starter who can jump in wherever a need arises, and no prior paint or sales experience is necessary because we provide full training. Basic computer skills are needed to enter new leads and contacts into Salesforce, our CRM; we will train you, and any prior experience is a plus. While bilingual ability is not required, speaking a second language is considered a bonus because many contractors are multilingual.
