About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer II‑IV to join our team at our corporate office in Richmond, VA. The position requires experience across a broad range of facility types, including commercial, industrial, institutional, governmental, critical, and storage facilities, as well as large fire‑life‑safety infrastructure. You must have solid knowledge of fire alarm system design and be able to communicate concepts through drawings and specifications. Experience with fire alarm, VESDA, clean‑agent systems and fire‑life‑safety commissioning is required. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in fire protection or a related engineering field and possess 2–7 years of fire alarm system design and consulting experience. Strong familiarity with NFPA standards, ICC building codes, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit are essential. The ability to obtain a federal security clearance, travel occasionally, and work independently or in a team is required. • Bachelor’s degree in fire protection or related engineering discipline • 2–7 years of fire alarm system design and consulting experience • Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and ICC building codes • NICET certification in fire alarm systems (preferred) • Licensed Professional Engineer in fire protection (preferred) • Ability to obtain Federal Government security clearance • Ability to work independently or within a team • Willingness to travel to project locations occasionally • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit for design development • Strong verbal and written communication and relationship skills
