About the Role

• Facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats, opportunities and issues within the sub‑programme. • Maintain visibility of trigger points to enable risk cost profiling and timely drawdown or retirement of risk budgets. • Use risk data to inform investment planning. • Identify and record measurable management responses and assess post‑mitigation positions. • Monitor overall risk exposure against the remaining risk budget. • Proactively manage completion of management responses to achieve target positions. • Collaborate with contractors to assess contractor‑held risks and their impact on client‑held risks. • Produce timely risk reports to communicate threat and opportunity status. • Conduct quantitative risk assessments (cost and schedule) to determine project contingency levels. • Utilise risk analysis tools such as PRA, @risk, Safran or similar, and web‑based database tools like ARM, Predict, Tableau.

What You Bring

We have an exciting opportunity for a QRA‑capable Risk Manager to join our London‑based rail team, working on high‑profile rail projects across London and the South East of England. The role centres on implementing an integrated risk‑management framework for a major capital programme. The successful candidate will bring proven experience in risk delivery on large projects, strong qualitative and quantitative risk assessment skills, and the ability to facilitate risk workshops, mitigate threats and exploit opportunities. A degree in a construction‑related subject and APM/IRM risk certification are preferred, along with excellent oral and written communication abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement. • Proven experience delivering risk management on major projects/programmes. • Strong qualitative and quantitative risk assessment skills and understanding of integrated risk management (risk, cost, schedule). • Experience facilitating risk workshops, threat mitigation and opportunity exploitation. • Proficiency in probabilistic modelling tools (@risk, PRA, P6) or equivalent. • APM/IRM risk certification preferred. • Degree in a construction‑related discipline (or equivalent). • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
