About the Role
The Driver Helper rides on the vehicle and assists the Driver in delivering prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services to customers on a designated residential route. The helper is responsible for safely loading waste, carrying bags and containers to the vehicle, and directing the Driver while maneuvering the vehicle. Key duties include riding on the vehicle to support the Driver, operating the packing mechanism and loading levers, cleaning waste from the packer blade and truck body after each disposal, and performing thorough pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections. The Helper also interacts courteously with customers and dispatchers, monitors waste for unacceptable material, cleans accidental spills according to safety standards, and adheres to productivity and safety policies while performing other assigned tasks.
