About the Role
Key duties include advanced repairs on pumps, generators, HVAC systems, air compressors, load banks, and dehumidification equipment, as well as scoping customer needs and delivering effective solutions. The technician must understand refrigeration (EPA certified), electrical engines, controllers, VFDs, soft starts, and “across‑the‑line” motor starting.

What You Bring
The Pump and Power Road Technician 2 role supports Sunbelt’s fast‑growing rental business by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex mechanical and electrical equipment. Technicians may also lead and train team members when a Shop Foreman or Service Manager is absent. The position offers an entrepreneurial environment with clear career development pathways. Candidates need 5–7 years of experience maintaining pump and power equipment, a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, and a DOT physical exam. EPA‑608 universal certification is required, along with advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, diesel, and HVAC systems. Factory training on diesel generators, compressors, and HVAC equipment is preferred. The role requires frequent bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting of 25 pounds or more, both indoors and outdoors as job conditions dictate.
