About the Role

The Journeyperson Electrician reports to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for installing, terminating, and maintaining conduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and control components for Silent‑Aire Limited Partnership. The role includes constructing and fabricating control panels, installing interlocking wiring, and performing wiring checkout in compliance with relevant codes. The electrician must interpret blueprints and schematics, follow vendor manuals, complete work orders daily, and maintain accurate maintenance reports. They also assist in training and supervising apprentices, monitor parts usage, and help develop preventative maintenance schedules. • Install and terminate conduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and control components per NEC, NESC, NFPA, and UFC standards. • Construct, fabricate, and wire control panels and interlocking systems, performing wiring checkout. • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and vendor manuals to determine installation procedures. • Complete and update daily work orders and maintain detailed maintenance documentation. • Supervise, train, and certify the work of junior employees and apprentices. • Monitor parts usage, report material issues, and assist in preventative maintenance scheduling. • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control circuits for motors and devices. • Ensure all activities comply with Silent‑Aire safety program and Alberta OHS regulations.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a valid Journeyperson Electrician licence, possess strong experience in assembling, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery, and demonstrate the ability to read technical documents. Effective verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are essential, as is the capability to mentor apprentices. The position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift up to 50 lb, and the willingness to work in commercial/industrial environments with safety hazards, including overtime and extended standing periods. All work must adhere to Silent‑Aire safety standards, the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, and related codes. • Hold a valid Journeyperson Electrician licence and demonstrate proficiency in mechanical assembly and troubleshooting. • Exhibit strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure while mentoring apprentices.
