About the Role

In this role you will perform community accounting functions, assist with administration, leasing, and supervise personnel. You will work closely with the Community Director to manage daily operations, rental payments, and resident services. • Collect and secure rental payments, delivering late rent notices and contacting delinquent residents daily • Scan and verify daily bank deposits and input transactions in Yardi, clearing validations • Assist Community Director with rate approvals in Yieldstar and apartment rating responses • Prepare accounting records, deposit accounting, and monthly close‑out reports • Verify move‑out accuracy for integration with rental collection company and handle bad‑debt collection • Support eviction processes following municipal policies • Enter activity into Yardi for daily, weekly, and monthly checklists, including Skip Watch information • Assist with leasing duties, show apartments, and prepare e‑signed leases • Maintain organized community office files and ensure compliance with Fair Housing, collections, evictions, towing, and pool enclosure regulations • Generate timely and accurate reports; manage work orders and resident service requests • Inspect vacant apartments, prepare them for market readiness, and promote resident retention through renewal programs • Perform periodic common‑area inspections, report maintenance issues, and assist in planning resident events • Adhere to safety policies, company procedures, and assume Community Director duties as directed • Provide courteous service to residents, prospects, and coworkers; maintain reliable transportation and communication for emergencies

The Assistant Property Manager position is located at The Estates at Wellington Green. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or equivalent, possesses strong mathematical and communication skills, and is proficient with Microsoft Office and property‑management software such as Yardi. A valid driver’s license and leadership abilities are also required. The position requires reliable transportation, flexibility for overtime, weekends, holidays, and the ability to travel or be assigned to other Highmark communities as needed. • Be available for overtime, weekends, holidays, evenings, and possible travel or overnight stays; perform other duties as assigned • High school diploma or equivalent • Strong mathematical skills for prorations, bank deposits, etc. • Excellent verbal and written communication • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Outlook, and internet • Apartment management experience preferred • Strong proficiency with property management software (preferably Yardi) • Leadership and team‑building abilities • Valid driver’s license
