Sr. Engineer - Instrumentation
Design, review, and manage instrumentation and control systems for oil & gas projects.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Review and verify inputs according to project requirements. • Apply codes and standards such as CSA, API, ANSI, and ISA. • Conduct P&ID reviews with process and piping teams and update changes. • Review vendor and existing drawings for design compliance. • Prepare Instrument Index and Instrument I/O list. • Prepare datasheets. • Prepare FJB interconnection wiring diagrams. • Prepare loop diagrams. • Prepare cable schedules. • Prepare instrument location plans. • Prepare cable and conduit tray routing. • Prepare instrument hookup drawings. • Prepare power distribution plans. • Prepare PLC layout and I/O schedules. • Prepare cause and effect diagrams. • Use engineering software to size control valves, PSV, and flow meters. • Specify and purchase field instruments such as transmitters, switches, meter‑runs, analyzers, control valves, and ESD valves.

What You Bring
• Know various electrical components including MCCs, PLC panels, and motors. • Proficient with AutoCAD and SmartPlant Instrumentation (Intools) software. • Understand engineering application to plant constructability, construction methods, materials, and economics. • Hold a B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering. • Have at least 2+ years of oil and gas experience. • Possess good knowledge of industrial petroleum projects. • Demonstrate strong communication skills with technical experts. • Exhibit good technical reasoning, analytical, and monitoring abilities.
