About the Role

The Utility Coordinator role is an administrative and coordination position within the Utility Management & Insights team, responsible for managing client utility accounts, supporting energy reporting, and ensuring effective communication among BGIS stakeholders, external utility vendors, and clients to aid compliance and risk mitigation. • Administer utility accounts, including setup, closure, transitions, name/rate changes, and maintain tracking tools. • Act as liaison between clients, utility vendors, facility management, finance, and project stakeholders. • Monitor vendor notices, disconnection warnings, and account status changes; streamline payments to improve bill cycle time. • Serve as primary contact for utility inquiries; triage disconnection events and escalations; coordinate rapid resolutions. • Coordinate meter appointments, vendor access, and fulfill ad‑hoc data requests. • Prepare and deliver utility reports such as usage summaries, cost trends, and GHG outputs; support mandatory reporting compliance. • Provide information for internal audits, client requests, and measurement & verification (M&V) projects. • Participate in utility data validation, maintain correction logs, and flag potential discrepancies.

What You Bring

• Hold a college diploma or university degree in a relevant field; possess 1–3 years of utility billing or energy reporting experience. • Demonstrate strong critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, ownership, and analytical accuracy with meticulous attention to detail. • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel; quickly adapt to proprietary systems. • Knowledge of Canadian utility regulations and mandatory reporting requirements (e.g., EWRB) is an asset. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments; no specific licenses required.

Benefits

This is a full‑time contract position with an annual salary ranging from $47,118 to $58,897, determined by the candidate’s experience, education, and performance.
