About the Role
The Manufacturing Supervisor position in Marinette, WI leads team performance on the manufacturing floor, planning and supervising personnel across manufacturing departments. The role involves coordinating high‑volume manufacturing activities, ensuring fire‑protection compliance, and directing the assembly of small parts using specialized knowledge of processes, equipment, and automation. • Maintain safety standards per Johnson Controls Safety Program, OSHA, and EPA, supporting the Zero Harm Vision. • Apply Flow and Lean Manufacturing principles, tooling, and manpower to keep production costs low and profitability high. • Collaborate with Operations Manager, Production Planning, and Materials to set production priorities and plans. • Analyze production schedules, estimate work requirements, and adjust to meet budget and timeline objectives. • Achieve or exceed targets for safety, quality, labor efficiency, schedule adherence, scrap, and rework. • Motivate, empower, and develop employees through team‑focused initiatives and lead by example. • Conduct performance appraisals and recommend hiring, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary actions. • Implement lean tools such as 5S, standardized work, waste elimination, value‑stream mapping, one‑piece flow, visual factory, and TPM. • Ensure manufacturing activities comply with ISO and agency requirements.

What You Bring
Work conditions include extended hours, a noisy and hot plant environment with exposure to moving machinery, petroleum lubricants, and occasional humidity or fumes. The schedule is 9 pm‑6 am, Sunday‑Thursday, with initial first‑shift training. • Direct production operations using knowledge of processes, equipment capabilities, and skilled labor. • University degree with at least 1 year experience (or 2‑year degree with 6 years experience) or equivalent combination. • Experience in manufacturing assembly, high‑volume machining of small parts, and automation processes. • Strong verbal and written communication; ability to read policies, manuals, blueprints, etc. • Excellent organizational, managerial, and supervisory leadership skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software applications. • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree. • Preferred: Background or training in Lean Manufacturing.
