About the Role

An Industrial Machinist installs, assembles, dismantles, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs machinery, working on small engines, motors, pumps, and other mechanical equipment. • Work with complex machines such as ball mills, ID fans, turbines, conveyors, generators, hydraulic systems, pumps, gears, bearings, and compressors • Plan, inspect, verify, and document scope of work • Replace gaskets and defective parts on machinery • Dismantle and assemble equipment using hand tools, bolts, welds, and rivets • Operate engine lathes, grinders, and files; fabricate parts by measuring, cutting, drilling, and welding • Perform rigging, hoisting, and moving of equipment with cranes, hoists, dollies, and rollers • Conduct preventative maintenance including lubrication and repair of worn parts • Follow supervisor direction and complete other assigned duties

What You Bring

The position requires 4–5 years of industrial mechanical experience, the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals, proficiency with hand and power tools, and reliable transportation to work as needed, including 7‑day rotations. Physical demands include extensive standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lb, work at heights, and exposure to outdoor elements; personal protective equipment must be worn at all times. • Experience rebuilding agitators and pumps • General industrial machinery installation, repair, and maintenance background • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals • Proficiency with industrial hand and power tools • Minimum 4–5 years industrial mechanical experience • Reliable transportation and availability to work 7 days as needed • Industrial construction/maintenance experience • Knowledge of hand and power tools, industrial machinery, and load properties of cables, ropes, hoists, and chains • Strong organization, time management, problem‑solving, and manual dexterity • Understanding of math concepts, geometry, layout, and good reading comprehension • Ability to lead, provide detailed instructions, work independently or in a team • Effective communication with co‑workers and supervisors • NCCER Journeyman Industrial Millwright certification (preferred) • Prior Zachry employment or ROF status (preferred) • Basic computer proficiency (preferred) • Formal or technical education (preferred) • Extensive standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lb • Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and use platforms • Dexterity for precision adjustments; vision for depth perception • Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions up to 12 hours/day • Required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear protection, respirator, safety vest, gloves, steel‑toe boots
