About the Role
The Building Maintenance Technician (On Call) supports resident satisfaction by ensuring quality move‑ins, timely service, and personal attention. This role helps Cushman & Wakefield deliver superior customer service to apartment community residents. Key duties include preparing market‑ready apartments through painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and minor fixes; responding promptly and professionally to resident requests; and performing routine maintenance on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal when applicable. The technician also maintains clean, operational common areas, pools, hot tubs, and dog park amenities, and reports any maintenance concerns in vacant units or shared spaces to the supervisor. • Prepare market‑ready apartments (paint, carpet repair, clean, minor repairs). • Respond promptly and professionally to resident service requests. • Perform routine maintenance on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal. • Maintain and clean common areas, pools, hot tubs, and dog park amenities. • Report maintenance issues in vacant units, model homes, and common areas to the supervisor. • Execute scheduled maintenance tasks assigned by the supervisor. • Follow fair housing laws, safety policies, and company appearance standards. • Read manuals, write reports, and follow written or diagrammed instructions. • Solve routine problems using common‑sense and basic math calculations.

What You Bring
The position requires the ability to read manuals, write routine reports, follow written or diagrammed instructions, and solve routine problems using common‑sense and basic math. A valid driver’s license, knowledge of fair‑housing laws, and adherence to safety policies are essential. The minimum education is a high school diploma or equivalent, and candidates must hold an EPA 608 Type II, CPO, or comparable local certification. Work is performed in a professional office setting with regular travel between properties, often in varying weather conditions. Physical demands include climbing stairs, standing or sitting for most of the shift, and the occasional ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. • Hold a valid driver’s license and EPA 608 Type II, CPO, or local equivalent certification.

Benefits
Compensation ranges from $61.20 to $72.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package that may include health, vision, dental, retirement, and paid time off.
