About the Role
The Waste Management (WM) driver/operator safely operates a tractor‑trailer, straight truck, or pup trailer that requires a Class A CDL on designated routes. The role involves adhering to OSHA, DOT, and company standards while maintaining a clean and safe vehicle. • Operate tractor‑trailer or straight truck with pup trailer in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company standards; keep vehicle clean and safe. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using electronic DVIR and report issues for corrective action. • Promptly report unsafe situations, service calls, incidents, accidents, or property damage to Operations Manager and Dispatch. • Participate in required training, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Manager and Dispatch to improve route efficiency and resolve problems. • Assist other drivers as directed and follow scheduled duties. • Communicate customer requests, issues, or service changes to Operations Manager and Dispatch. • Dump containers, clean the site, and position containers to avoid blocking driveways or traffic. • Complete route assignments and finalize documentation at the end of each shift.

The position requires physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing.
