About the Role
The Global Category Director, Travel & Fleet is responsible for defining, leading and executing the global procurement and operational strategy for all Travel and Fleet categories across JLL’s corporate spend. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Procurement and sitting on the Corporate Procurement Leadership Team, the role works closely with senior Finance, ESG, Business Line COOs and Global Operations stakeholders while leading a global operational team. Key responsibilities include establishing and executing category strategies that optimise cost, service quality, risk and sustainability, and leading a team of four procurement managers and a global travel manager. The role oversees travel operations supporting over 140,000 trips annually, manages the cost‑centre budget, and ensures robust governance and T&E controls. It also drives ESG data collection, emissions reporting and the transition to a zero‑emissions fleet, while acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and building cross‑functional partnerships across Finance, ESG, HR, Legal, Risk and Technology. Finally, the director maintains supplier performance and risk‑mitigation frameworks and reports on savings, ESG outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction. • Define and execute global procurement strategy for Travel & Fleet, including sourcing, supplier management, and demand management. • Lead a team of four procurement managers and a global travel manager. • Oversee travel operations supporting ~140,000 trips annually and manage the associated cost‑centre budget. • Implement robust governance, policies, and controls for Travel & Expense compliance. • Drive ESG initiatives, collect emissions data, and transition to a zero‑emissions fleet. • Advise senior stakeholders on spend performance, risk, and optimization. • Build cross‑functional partnerships with Finance, ESG, HR, Legal, Risk, and Technology. • Lead, develop, and mentor a high‑performing global team. • Establish supplier performance and risk mitigation frameworks and report savings, ESG outcomes, and stakeholder satisfaction.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a university degree (CIPS/ISM accreditation preferred) and brings 5–10 years of procurement or category‑management experience, with significant exposure to Travel and/or Fleet categories in a large, global matrixed organization. Proven experience leading complex sourcing initiatives, managing strategic supplier relationships and operating global or regional teams is required. Critical competencies include strong commercial acumen, financial‑analysis capability, stakeholder influence, operational excellence, a governance mindset and awareness of ESG principles. The role is based in the United Kingdom (London area) with a hybrid remote arrangement, requiring occasional travel to the London office. • Require 5‑10 years procurement/category management experience, preferably with CIPS/ISM accreditation. • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, financial analysis, stakeholder influence, operational excellence, and ESG awareness.
