About the Role
The Quality Technician supports the analysis and resolution of quality problems, manages non‑conforming material, prepares inspection plans and instructions, and trains inspectors under the guidance of quality engineers or supervisors. In collaboration with the Quality/Warranty Supervisor and Engineer, the technician leads continuous‑improvement initiatives, conducts process and product audits, validates calibration compliance, and creates quality documents aligned with the Quality Management System (QMS/EQS). The role includes leading a cross‑functional Subject‑Matter‑Expert team to evaluate non‑conforming parts, drive NCMR closure, review and analyze non‑conformity reports for trends, develop corrective or preventive actions, and maintain pFMEAs and control plans. Additional duties involve performing FTY/rework investigations, acting as an ISO Lead Auditor, supporting internal and external audits, and working with manufacturing to implement 8D/error‑proofing and defect‑analysis initiatives. • Analyze and resolve quality issues, including disposition of non‑conforming material. • Prepare inspection plans, instructions, and train inspectors. • Conduct audits, validate calibration compliance, and maintain QMS/EQS documentation. • Lead cross‑functional SME team to evaluate non‑conforming parts and drive NCMR closure. • Review, quantify, and analyze non‑conformity reports to identify trends and corrective actions. • Create and maintain process FMEAs, control plans, and corrective‑preventive action reports. • Perform FTY/rework investigations and root‑cause analysis using PDCA, A3, 5‑Why, fishbone, and Pareto tools. • Act as ISO Lead Auditor, coordinating internal and external audit schedules and maintaining audit records. • Support warranty claim processing and field service actions as needed.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) plus at least four years of manufacturing experience or a technical degree, be proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office, and reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX facility. Knowledge of MRB procedures, technical writing, IPC‑620 inspection criteria, problem‑solving tools (PDCA, A3, 5‑Why, fishbone, Pareto), and lean concepts such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and Standardized Work is required. • Required: high school diploma or equivalent; 4+ years manufacturing experience or technical degree. • Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). • Knowledge of MRB procedures, IPC‑620 inspection criteria, and technical document authoring. • Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools: Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Continuous Flow, Set‑up Reduction, Pull Systems, Standardized Work. • Must reside within 50 miles of El Paso, TX; relocation not provided.
