About the Role

In this role, the Material Buyer serves as the primary point of contact for all internal and external communications related to purchases. The position demands an energetic, team‑oriented professional who works expediently to ensure the accuracy of all transactions. Key responsibilities include enforcing purchasing policies, requesting price and lead‑time information for new part designs, confirming purchase order details with vendors, and ensuring purchases adhere to agreed‑upon quotes. The buyer collaborates with the Finance department to reconcile financial records, tracks orders from initiation to delivery, addresses and reports purchase errors promptly, and fulfills requisitions from internal departments. Additional duties involve responding to vendor inquiries, cross‑referencing product deliveries with purchase orders, and maintaining accurate documentation. • Enforce purchasing policies and procedures. • Request price and lead‑time information for new part designs from vendors. • Ensure purchases align with approved quotes. • Confirm purchase order details with vendors. • Collaborate with Finance to reconcile financial records. • Track orders from placement through delivery. • Report and resolve purchase errors promptly. • Respond to inquiries from potential vendors. • Cross‑reference product deliveries with purchase orders. • Fulfill internal purchase requisitions. • Communicate effectively and negotiate with suppliers. • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
