About the Role
The Directional Drill Locator supports directional drilling for the installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable. You are expected to do the job right, strive for excellence, and rise to the challenges of each project. • Locate horizontal directional drills for underground conduit and fiber optic cable installation. • Operate horizontal directional boring with drill teams to install coaxial and fiber systems. • Ensure safety of the public and existing underground utilities. • Read utility locate reports and coordinate daylighting of facilities. • Transport heavy equipment to and from job sites daily. • Demonstrate daily safety focus in all tasks. • Maintain a proven record of high-quality workmanship. • Apply strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach. • Operate Vermeer or Ditch Witch drills of various sizes. • Read and interpret maps, drawings, and project diagrams.

What You Bring
We are looking for candidates who make safety a daily priority, consistently produce high-quality work, and enjoy hands-on problem solving. Ideal candidates have at least two years of utility directional drilling experience in an urban environment, are comfortable operating Vermeer or Ditch Witch drills, can read maps and project drawings, and hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean record. • Possess at least 2 years of utility directional drilling experience in urban environments. • Hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. • Relevant MOS codes (e.g., 12K, 12N, 12V, etc.) align with the position.

Benefits
Compensation ranges from $26 to $28 per hour, with overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular rate, and the position is full-time, at-will.
