About the Role

• Apply technical expertise in rail operations and maintenance to mitigate safety and operational issues, delivering systems engineering and integration capabilities on complex rail projects. • Develop plans, programs of work, and support the delivery of operational testing (Trial Operations) activities. • Create operational readiness and rehearsal plans, processes, and technical systems integration strategies, plans, and roadmaps. • Work on technical requirements, application conditions, and task definitions from operational and maintenance concepts. • Develop test plans, test cases, procedures, schedules, and resources for various test campaigns, including lab tests, on‑site technical testing, and operational trials.

What You Bring

We are looking for talented people from a variety of backgrounds to apply for a role focusing on Systems Engineering & Assurance and Test & Commissioning as part of our growing Australian Systems Engineering and Integration team in Brisbane or Sunshine Coast. Our offering is unique – complex projects often struggle to integrate their systems and assets to the existing environment which leads to project delays or poor outcomes. Many of our clients look to us to support them to define the frameworks and achieve operational readiness. Our team provides expertise in Systems Integration, Testing & Commissioning, Progressive Systems Assurance, and Operations & Maintenance Integration to deliver the best possible outcomes for projects, operators, and end users. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree and experience managing large, complex projects, particularly on the right side of the V‑model. • Demonstrate comprehensive integration of complex systems, from low‑level units and subsystems to end‑to‑end and operational integration. • Experience with project testing and commissioning strategies, prioritising and sequencing tests, verifying requirements, and determining personnel and equipment needs. • Understand Systems Engineering principles, including the interplay between operations, systems assurance, safety, verification and validation (V&V), and their roles in integration, testing, and commissioning. • Proficiency in using and driving IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (highly desirable). • Experience in hazard identification and risk management, with a background in RAMS and assurance (highly desirable).
