About the Role

Under the general supervision of the Program Management Team, the engineer will perform office and field engineering assignments related to self‑performed or subcontracted infrastructure projects, primarily laboratory fit‑outs and other facility requirements. The position requires 100 % on‑site work at the Technical Center and involves independent problem analysis, technical judgment, and occasional guidance of lower‑level technical personnel. • Monitor and evaluate on‑site work progress to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and industry standards. • Review and interpret design drawings and specifications for revision level and feasibility. • Resolve technical engineering problems and coordinate implementation of solutions. • Provide technical guidance to site personnel during installations and liaise with client and senior site management. • Conduct tests, inspections, and documentation according to approved procedures. • Collaborate with risk specialists to eliminate hazards and enforce safe work practices. • Maintain construction technical catalogs, supplier data, and project literature. • Assist field resident engineers and project managers on complex activities as needed. • Coordinate schedules and activities for field crews and subcontractors. • Prepare activity and technical reports incorporating field team input. • Track and update project schedules, deliverables, costs, and quality performance.

The company is seeking a talented Construction Engineer to support facilities projects on‑site at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center for Advanced Aerospace in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This role is part of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5), a $1.8 billion, four‑year base contract with two three‑year options that supports the FAA’s Capital Investment Plan, NextGen, national security, and aviation safety programs. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a construction‑related field (or equivalent experience) and at least five years of field construction experience are required. Candidates must have experience executing facilities and infrastructure upgrades, possess a working knowledge of engineering and construction processes, be proficient with CAD and typical PC software, and demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of field construction experience. • Demonstrate proficiency with CAD and standard engineering/computer software. • Exhibit strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to lead project tasks. • No security clearance required, but must meet FAA customer security requirements.
