About the Role
The position has no direct reports but may oversee helpers and laborers, providing expertise and guidance. • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical manuals to determine material quantities and scope of work. • Identify required tools and safety precautions for each task. • Fabricate, install, and fit pipe systems, including valves, hangers, supports, and flanges, per plans and specifications. • Conduct tests to verify quality and integrity of piping systems. • Hoist loads using rigging equipment such as slings, chains, shackles, and hooks.

What You Bring
An Industrial Pipe Fitter assembles, lays out, installs, and maintains pipe systems for steam, fluid, or gas applications, working with pipe, flanges, supports, valves, gauges, hangers, and angles. The role may involve work in buildings, outdoors, inside structures such as tanks or boilers, underground excavations, and at heights up to 300 ft. A valid driver’s license, background check, and drug screening are required. Candidates need at least four years of experience as an Industrial Pipe Fitter or helper, strong ability to read blueprints, and thorough knowledge of pipe‑fitting procedures. Leadership, communication skills, and experience on industrial construction projects are also required. The job demands extensive standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lb, as well as occasional work at heights up to 300 ft with proper fall protection. Workers must use hand dexterity, vision, and communication while wearing required PPE and will operate in various weather conditions for up to 12‑hour shifts. • Possess at least 6 years of pipe‑fitting experience, including 4 years as an Industrial Pipe Fitter or helper. • Demonstrate strong problem‑solving, manual dexterity, and communication abilities. • Work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as a team player. • Preferred: Zachry ROF’ed or former employee status, NCCER Plus certification, and formal technical education.
