About the Role
• Lead mechanical engineering design for power generation projects, serving as engineer of record. • Coordinate with piping design team and develop engineering drawings, equipment layouts, P&IDs, isometrics, and tie‑in lists. • Provide technical expertise for risk assessments, due diligence, and present complex solutions to clients. • Generate deliverables across all project phases—from feasibility to detailed design—and develop construction specifications and material requisitions. • Support projects during construction, start‑up, and commissioning; conduct quality‑control reviews and interact with vendors, regulators, and contractors. • Participate in project and client meetings, and prepare internal and external presentations; occasional travel to sites.

What You Bring
The position offers flexibility to work remotely or from any of our Energy offices in the United States. The successful candidate will bring extensive mechanical engineering design experience for process/mechanical and generation projects. Minimum qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering and at least six years of relevant experience. Preferred candidates hold a Master’s degree, a Professional Engineer license, and 12+ years in power‑generation facilities, with expertise in combined‑cycle and nuclear stations, industry codes, equipment specification, and advanced engineering software. • BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering with at least 6 years of relevant experience (12+ years preferred). • Experience in mechanical engineering for power generation, including combined‑cycle and nuclear facilities. • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and/or Master’s degree preferred. • Proficiency with industry codes (API, ASME, etc.) and specifying rotating/static equipment and piping materials. • Strong knowledge of engineering software such as Thermoflow, Hysys, Caesar II, Pipe‑Flo, AspenTech, Navisworks/BIM 360. • Hands‑on startup and commissioning field experience; ability to work remotely in multi‑disciplinary teams.
