About the Role
The Driver Manager oversees drivers within a market, ensuring equipment is delivered and received promptly while complying with company and DOT standards. This position involves hiring, training, scheduling, and coordinating with dispatch and store locations to maintain safety and performance. • Ensure compliance with all Sunbelt safety procedures. • Hire, train, mentor, and coach employees responsible for equipment pick‑up and delivery. • Manage team workload, delegate tasks, and be accountable for safety and performance. • Orchestrate timely and accurate dispatch of rental equipment to customers within the assigned market. • Coordinate transfer of equipment and consumables across the market as needed. • Create and monitor drivers’ schedules. • Work with Dispatch Coordinators to ensure rental contracts are created and closed efficiently. • Review daily and weekly driver logs according to company and DOT standards. • Verify drivers conduct daily truck inspections per company and DOT regulations. • Ensure drivers operate safely and courteously in line with Sunbelt policies. • Collaborate with store locations to meet customers’ equipment needs. • Address internal and external customer complaints professionally and resolve them satisfactorily. • Report issues to supervisors promptly and follow up for resolution. • Provide feedback to Counter and Service Departments on equipment delivery and receipt. • Minimize driver on‑yard time by coordinating with Dispatch Coordinators and branch locations.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus 5+ years of dispatching experience. • Knowledge of construction/industrial equipment applications. • Working knowledge of DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. • Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and leadership abilities. • Familiarity with the delivery area.
