About the Role
The role involves performing preventive maintenance inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding major components on compactors and containers. The position works Monday‑Friday night shift from 5:00 pm to 1:30 am and offers a base pay of $33.20 per hour. • Perform preventive maintenance inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on compactors, containers, and carts. • Execute moderately complex welding (arc, gas, aluminum, brazing, plastic, soft soldering) on various materials. • Complete required paperwork in fleet maintenance software, tracking parts usage and repair times. • Conduct safety checks and respond to emergency breakdown service calls. • Perform metal and plastic fabrication tasks such as flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, and notching. • Estimate time and material costs, requisition new parts, and inspect quality of supplier repairs. • Develop fixtures, set up dimensions and tolerances, and select optimal welding processes for custom units. • Provide guidance and direction to lower‑level maintenance personnel and act as supervisory lead when needed. • Maintain a clean, safe work area complying with corporate and OSHA standards.

What You Bring
The job requires work both inside gas‑plant environments and outdoors in inclement weather, heat, and humidity, and involves handling heavy metal and plastic parts using welding, cutting, and forming techniques.
