About the Role

The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The role includes ensuring the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards before each shift and adhering to all company, state, and federal regulations while operating the truck. Key duties involve conducting thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, reading route sheets, and navigating designated routes to service each customer. The driver lifts and loads refuse, operates the compactor, and disposes of material at the appropriate facility, while maintaining professional interactions with customers and dispatchers. The position requires constant monitoring of waste for unacceptable materials, tagging problematic containers, cleaning any accidental spills, and keeping the vehicle’s packer blade and body clean to minimize downtime. Daily completion of route, productivity, and vehicle condition reports is required to support departmental productivity standards. • Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections. • Safely operate a collection truck along assigned routes and to disposal sites. • Load, compact, and unload refuse using manual or automatic controls. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers per procedure. • Clean accidental waste spills following safety standards. • Monitor vehicle condition and clean packer blade/truck body each trip. • Complete daily route sheets, productivity reports, and vehicle condition reports. • Adhere to productivity standards and safety policies, including the ReSOP program. • Participate in benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, HSAs, disability, life insurance, EAP, employee discounts, retirement match, ESPP, and PTO.

What You Bring

Successful candidates must possess a Class B (or higher) commercial driver’s license with an air‑brake endorsement, demonstrate strong customer service, time‑management, and follow‑through abilities, and consistently uphold company policies and safety standards. • Hold a Class B (or higher) CDL with air‑brake endorsement.
